Mallorca - Playa el Mago
To be sure, even though it is a beach officially given over to nude bathing, no one will be forced to take off his/her clothes. Here, ‘clothing optional’ is the watchword. The proportion of nude bathers varies from day to day and from hour to hour. Bathers here are predominantly of the naturist persuasion – a felicitous fact thah can be ascribed to the ‘regulars’, the Spanish visitors, though there are clothed bathers, sometimes more, sometimes less. Owing to the sooner miniature scale of the cove, a nearly familial, intimate atmosphere assures that nudity is a quite unproblematic proposition and nearly de rigueur.

mallorca-fkk.comAs long as the cove stays hard-to-find and accessible only by car and with lots of perseverance, it will remain the preserve of only the most dyed-in-the-wool nudists. After all, such true believers are used to long and difficult drives. The same applies to the small contingents of Brits that sometimes arrive from Magaluf in the early afternoon who do not disturb the peace and quiet inordinately, and who seem to mistake nudism for topless bathing.

El Mago is my favorite beach
I have been to el Mago so many times over the years that I have lost count. I have even been there in the winter when it was to cold to undress. I love the rocky outcropping. Much better than sand. The water under the outcropping is deep enough to dive. It is about 12 ft (3.6 M) at that point. There were pegs pounded into the stone in order to tie up boats for a few minutes while passengers debarked to sunbathe.
